Job Title: Technical Specialist – Trade Finance IT Projects
Location: Kuwait
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to support deployment, development, database management, and reporting for a Trade Finance project. The role requires strong expertise in container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes), PL/SQL development, and reporting tools, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment & Infrastructure
- Deploy and manage applications across dev, staging, and production environments
- Configure and maintain OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms
- Ensure availability, scalability, and performance
Development & Integration
- Support internal development, APIs, microservices, and middleware
- Integrate trade finance systems with core banking platforms
- Participate in CI/CD, code reviews, and version control
Database Development
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and views
- Ensure data integrity and database performance
- Support reporting and analytics requirements
Reporting & Analytics
- Design and maintain reports using JReport or similar tools
- Gather requirements and deliver business-ready reports
System Support & Security
- Monitor system health and resolve deployment/integration issues
- Ensure secure configurations and support audits/compliance
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with business, QA, and vendor teams
- Maintain technical documentation and SOPs
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of relevant IT experience
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
- Strong PL/SQL and Oracle DB expertise
- Experience with JReport/JasperReports/Crystal Reports
- Trade finance or banking experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
