Description
We’re Hiring – Purchasing Officer
Location: Kuwait
Ace Hardware – Alhasawi Group is seeking a Purchasing Officer with strong experience (5+ years) in handling the entire local purchase process. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely procurement while aligning purchasing activities with our business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full local purchasing and importing cycle — from identifying requirements to issuing POs and ensuring timely delivery.
* Negotiate with vendors for optimal pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
* Handle all import-related requirements, including verifying shipping documents, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and avoiding delays or demurrages.
* Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and provide regular procurement reports.
* Verify vendor credentials, issue RFQs, and maintain compliance with legal and customs requirements.
* Coordinate shipment clearance and follow up on payments to ensure adherence to agreed terms.
* Prepare and present regular reports on purchase orders, costs, and business trends.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5+ years’ experience in a similar purchasing role.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills in native Arabic & proficiency in English.
* Proven ability to organize, plan, and solve problems effectively.
* Transferable 18 visa
