Description

We are currently seeking for the following position:

Cost Controller (Central Kitchen & Subscription Model)

Location: Kuwait initially and potentially Riyadh depending on performance.

Reports To: CEO

Salary: Commensurate with Experience



We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Cost Controller to take charge of cost efficiency across our kitchen operations and beyond. This role is critical to our success as a food subscription company with centralized kitchen operations.



The ideal candidate must come with a strong background in cost control for food production or subscription-based models, and be ready to deliver results from day one. We are not looking to train or onboard someone unfamiliar with the nuances of this industry, we need someone who has done this before and can provide immediate value.



This role reports directly to the CEO and will work closely with procurement, kitchen, ops, and finance teams.



Key Responsibilities

• Kitchen & Production Cost Control

• Track and control supplier pricing, recipe costing, kitchen waste, and inventory

• Identify cost inefficiencies in procurement and production processes

• Monitor and reduce raw material wastage

• Conduct regular audits of stock on hand, usage, and variances

• Staff Optimization

• Evaluate staffing levels across production, logistics, and support functions

• Identify overstaffed or underutilized departments

• Recommend workforce adjustments to improve productivity and reduce overhead

• Office & Overhead Audit

• Conduct cost audits across office departments

• Identify hidden costs, unnecessary subscriptions, underutilized resources, or inefficiencies

• Provide actionable recommendations to reduce non-operational expenses

• Reporting & Strategic Support

• Deliver monthly reports outlining cost trends, areas for improvement, and savings opportunities

• Provide data-driven input for pricing strategies and budgeting decisions

• Establish and maintain SOPs for cost control practices



Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in cost control, preferably within:

• Central kitchens or Meal subscription models

• Catering or large-scale food production

• Demonstrated success in staff optimization and operational cost savings

• Strong understanding of kitchen workflows, food costing, and inventory systems

• Proficient in cost control tools, Excel/Sheets, and reporting software

• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset

• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and report clearly to executive leadership

• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
