Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to oversee all accounting and financial operations within our hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, audits, compliance, payroll reconciliation, and ensuring the accuracy of all accounting records in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Income Audit.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial policies, and accounting standards.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts.
Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
Supervise and develop the accounting team.
Review payroll reports, employee benefits, and financial accruals.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
Ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
Work closely with department heads to control costs and improve profitability.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent are preferred.
Minimum of 5-8 years of accounting experience, including at least 2-3 years in a Chief Accountant or Senior Accounting role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of hotel accounting procedures, income auditing, cost control, and financial reporting.
Experience with hotel management systems and accounting software (such as Opera, Sun Systems, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
Excellent knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
