We Are Hiring: Chief Accountant – Automotive, Kuwait (CDK experience is must!)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Accountant to join our automotive business in Kuwait. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of a respected and long-established family business with a strong presence in the automotive retail sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Kuwait tax regulations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and consolidations.
• Develop and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices.
• Support annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to aid management in decision-making.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as required.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven track record in a chief accountant or similar role within automotive retail.
• Hands-on experience with CDK (Dealer Management System) is mandatory.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
