Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to manage accounting operations for our fast-growing fintech startup in Kuwait.

Responsibilities
Assist in daily accounting operations and transaction postings in Xero.
Reconcile bank accounts, settlement accounts, collection accounts, and safeguarding accounts.
Prepare CBK-compliant financial reports and internal management reports.
Handle accounting entries related to Visa, KNET, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and merchant settlements.
Support with audits, compliance, and financial statements under IFRS.
Monitor expenses, supplier payments, and staff reimbursements.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
3+ years of experience (Fintech, Banking, or Payments preferred).
Strong knowledge of reconciliation and accounting controls.
Good understanding of IFRS and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Xero is a plus).
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work under deadlines.
Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
